Mango Hut - Overnight Mt Briton

Meeting Place: Retreat Hotel, Peak Downs Highway

Time:  Meet at 8.30am; Depart at 8.45am

Day trip or o/night camp at Mount Britton.

Traverse scenic medium/easy drive through Private Property and State Forests. Some low range sections to conquer. Track may need some maintenance and debris cleared from the track.

Planned morning tea next to a dam before inspecting a rundown out station. Lunch next to a small creek then onto where the homestead and yards once stood. Ending our first day near Mount Britton.

For those who wish to stay for a short Sunday drive, we will camp at Mount Britton.

Camp Trailers OK.

Requirements: Food and water for day or 2 days; First Aid Kit; Basic Recovery Gear; Fly mesh/shade cloth or suitable cover for front of vehicle to help prevent the spread of weeds. Some tall grass may be encountered.
