Eungella Hinterland Day Drive

Will meet at Goodes lookout at the top of the range and will drive to Cockies Creek road via the ‘shortcut’ through the diggings. Then taking the ‘short cut’ camel hump track to Denham range, then back via the Crediton tracks.

Day drive through the tracks out the back of Eungella. Plenty of low range 4WD with a variety of terrain and ever changing views of the Australian bush. Not hard core but suitably challenging in places, with steep climbs, rutted out tracks, slow rocky sections. Can be a little bit scratchy in a few places. Usually get a few mud holes coming out of Denham Range.

Camel Hump track is a little known short cut to the Denham range with a few steep hill climbs through some lovely country with impressive views from the tallest of the hills. Denham range has great views to the West. The track back from Denham range takes you through a mix of jungle and dry country.

Toilets at Diggings campground and Denham Range. It can be quite cool

Bring a full tank of fuel, basic recovery gear, warm clothing, snacks, lunch and water.

Trip needs dry weather in the lead up.
