About Mackay Land Rover Club Inc.

The Mackay Land Rover Club is a club for all 4WD enthusiasts.  The club welcomes all makes and models of 4WD's. We like to get out into the great outdoors, discovering little-known about places and enjoying adventure in the safety and companionship of like-minded people.

The Club promotes safe and responsible recreational four-wheel driving in a family setting on both Public and Private land.

A small group of people met and formed the Mackay Land Rover Club in 1976.  Now the club has over 50 families as members, all joined by a common interest in the great outdoors and the responsible use of their 4WD vehicles.

The Mackay Land Rover Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7.30 p.m. at the Sky's Function Venue, Magpies Sporting Club, Glenella Road, Glenella.

The club tries to run a minimum of two trips each month. These may include a day trip run on either Saturday or Sunday, a weekend or long weekend camping trip or extended touring trips. The trips vary in difficulty from "easy" (Green) to the more difficult trips where low range, winching / towing (Red) may be required.

A free monthly newsletter keeps members informed of upcoming trips and activities plus reports from previous trips and activities.
